Stephen Schlesinger est membre de la Century Foundation et ancien directeur du World Policy Institute.
Il est l'auteur de Act of Creation : The Founding of the United Nations (2004), coauteur (avec Stephen Kinzer) de Bitter Fruit : The Story of the American Coup in Guatemala (édition élargie, 1999) et coéditeur de Journals 1952-2000 by Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. (2007).
